Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy is the official privacy policy of Terral Pty Ltd t/a (“Organika”). It applies to all personal information collected by Organika, including via www.organika.com.au, social media pages (each a Website); and from any Organika mobile or tablet application (each an Application).

 

In this policy we explain how and why we collect your personal information, how we use it and disclose it, and what controls you have over our use of it. We appreciate that you may have expectations about how your personal information is collected, used and shared. We can assure you that we will always handle your personal information securely and carefully. Among other things, we comply with all applicable Australian privacy laws including the Australian Privacy Principles.

 

COLLECTING PERSONAL INFORMATION 

When you visit the Site, we collect certain information about your device, your interaction with the Site, and information necessary to process your purchases. We may also collect additional information if you contact us for customer support. In this Privacy Policy, we refer to any information that can uniquely identify an individual (including the information below) as “Personal Information”. Information that you provide to us

We collect personal information directly from you, when you make a purchase, register for an account or enter a competition or promotion. This may include:

a) your name;

b) your contact details including your email address, delivery address, phone number;

c) your birthday

d) more detailed contact preferences;

e) information regarding your experiences with our products and services; and

f) financial information including credit card and payment details.

Financial information that is collected via the website is used by Organika to bill you for products and services. Any financial information that is collected is for the purpose of transaction approval and funds transfer. The financial information we collect from you is kept securely and held on secure servers in controlled facilities.

Information that we collect from your use of our Websites and Application

When you use a Website or Application, we may also collect personal information about you in the following general categories:

i. Location information: if you permit a Website or Application to access location services through the permission system in your mobile device, we may collect the precise location of your device.

ii. Transaction information: we collect your transaction details when you place an order, including the products you have ordered, the date and time of your order and the amount charged.

iii. Usage and preferences: We collect information about how you interact with our Websites or Applications, including the pages you visit, your preferences and settings that you choose. We may do this through the use of cookies and other similar technologies that uniquely identify you. iv. Device information: We may collect information about your device such as the hardware model, operating system, preferred language, unique device identifier and mobile network.

Minors

The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not intentionally collect Personal Information from children. If you are the parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us at the address below to request deletion.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfil any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping or pick up, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to: Communicate with you; Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimise our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

SHARING PERSONAL INFORMATION 

We may use or disclose personal information held about an individual for the primary purpose for which it is collected - that is, to carry on our business and provide services to our customers. We may also use such information for a purpose related to the primary purpose of collection and where you would reasonably expect that we would use the information in such a way (e.g. major delivery companies, mail houses and third-party fulfilment contractors). We may share your Personal Information with service providers to help us provide our services and fulfil our contracts with you, as described above. For example:

BEHAVIOURAL ADVERTISING

As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. For example:

LAWFUL BASIS

  • The performance of the contract between you and the Site;
  • Compliance with our legal obligations;
  • To protect your vital interests;
  • To perform a task carried out in the public interest;
  • For our legitimate interests, which do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms.

RETENTION

DO NOT TRACK

Please note that because there is no consistent industry understanding of how to respond to “Do Not Track” signals, we do not alter our data collection and usage practices when we detect such a signal from your browser.
